Ohio George Floyd Memorial Destroyed By Lightning Strike

Call it karma or just a coincidence, a George Floyd memorial in Ohio was destroyed recently by a lightning strike.

We have watched as social justice warriors across the country have turned George Floyd into a saint. He has been given the status of both a martyr and a hero despite his rather shady past.

Does this justify the actions taken by the police officers that resulted in his very unfortunate death. Absolutely not! But at the same time, we shouldn’t be idolizing him. And by no means should we be teaching young children to look up to George Floyd.

Nonetheless, it was somewhat ironic, to say the least, that this memorial to Floyd in Ohio was destroyed by an apparent lightning strike.

A George Floyd mural in Toledo, Ohio was destroyed by a lightning strike Tuesday afternoon, according to witnesses.

WTVG reported their Doppler Radar did show a lightning strike on the same block as the George Floyd mural at 4:30 this afternoon.

The lightning strike, which hit directly on George Floyd’s face, reduced the mural to a pile of bricks.

A mural honoring George Floyd erected at Summit and Lagrange in Toledo has collapsed. According to Toledo Police, witnesses say it was destroyed by a lightning strike. 13abc’s Doppler Radar did show a lightning strike in that block at about 4:30 PM this afternoon.

Toledo police were seen outside the building, which used to house the Mugshots Bar, setting up tape around the pile of bricks that once formed the artwork.

The mural was painted almost one year to the date of its collapse last July.

Since George Floyd’s death last year, activists have built shrines, statues and painted murals honoring his life of criminality and drug abuse.

Again, this was a lightning strike that destroyed the George Floyd memorial and nothing more. We don’t need those on the left getting all out of sorts thinking this was some roving gang of Trump supporters.

Trump supporters may not agree with things like this mural to a criminal but they aren’t going around vandalizing things like this.
