Scarborough: ‘Little Neck’ Hawley, Meadows, Have ‘Testicles’ In Trump Lockbox
Such a manly, macho, masculine man, that Joe Scarborough!
On Thursday’s Morning Joe, Scarborough mocked the masculinity of Republicans, while by inference boasting of his own machismo.
Scarborough’s first target was someone he referred to as “the guy with the little neck,” feigning ignorance of his name. Willie Geist supplied it: Josh Hawley. The reason Scarborough was going after the Republican senator from Missouri was that he has accused the left of redefining traditional masculinity as “toxic.”
That led Scarborough to boast: “Real men don’t even notice there’s a war on masculinity.”
Scarborough apparently places himself in that “real-man” category. Impressive!
The faux manly man then decided to take childish shot at a picture of Hawley raising his first in the air:
SCARBOROUGH: But these guys, these guys—can I say that here? Can I say that?— These guys that, that put their masculinity – [laughs uproariously as photo of Hawley with raised fist appears] oh: look at him! Oh my God! Heh, heh, heh!
MIKA BRZEZINSKI: Okay, Joe, careful.
He then turned to Mark Meadows, who has been described as writing “fake news” reports in his new book where he claimed that former President Trump had tested positive for Covid prior to his first debate with then-candidate Joe Biden.
That, in turn, led a smirking Scarborough to do a cutesy little limbo with words: “These guys put their masculinity in a lockbox for Donald Trump. There is another body part: I’d like to use it. Rush Limbaugh used it. I won’t use it here in the morning.”
A moment later, Scarborough mumbled: “testicles.”
You know, Joe, instead of muttering it, “real men” aren’t afraid to clearly speak their mind.
And it’s interesting that Scarborough would take as his model Rush Limbaugh: the man the liberal media loved to hate!
Note: after making his reference to male anatomy, Scarborough turned to Jonathan Lemire, saying, “you wanted to add something.” Replied Lemire: “nothing about that!” Might say Lemire wouldn’t touch Scarborough’s remark with a ten-foot pole.
Joe Scarborough accusing Republicans of having their “testicles” in a Trump lockbox was sponsored in part by Liberty Mutual, Cadillac, Facebook, and E-Trade.
Here’s the transcript.
MSNBC’s Morning Joe
December 2, 2021
6:10 am ET
WILLIE GEIST: You do wonder, Jonathan Lemire, what it takes to be a man to go on TV, to have written the words in the book, and be so terrified, that not only did Mark Meadows go on and call his own book fake news, or the reporting on it fake news, he retweeted Donald Trump calling his story fake news. Writes the book, gets threatened by Donald Trump.
JOE SCARBOROUGH: [laughing hysterically] Seriously, come on! You talk about–we talked last week about this: what’s the guy with the little neck? What’s his name?
GEIST: Oh, Josh Hawley?
SCARBOROUGH: Josh Hawley. He has that war on masculinity, or whatever.
GEIST: Very worried about that.
SCARBOROUGH: He’s very worried about that.
ELISE JORDAN: He feels it, he feels it personally.
SCARBOROUGH: I said, real men don’t even notice there’s a war on masculinity.
But these guys, these guys—can I say that here? Can I say that?— These guys that, that put their masculinity – [laughs uproariously as photo of Hawley with raised fist appears] oh: look at him! Oh my God! Heh, heh, heh!
MIKA BRZEZINSKI: Okay, Joe: careful.
SCARBOROUGH: These guys that put their masculinity in a lockbox for Donald Trump.
SCARBOROUGH: There, there, there is another body part, I’d like to use it. Rush Limbaugh used it. I won’t use it here in the morning.
GEIST: Something about a blind trust, right?
SCARBOROUGH: Yeah, yeah, yeah: exactly. Exactly. [Mutters] testicles, in a lockbox.
So anyway, Jonathan Lemire, you wanted to add something.
JONATHAN LEMIRE: Nothing about that! But certainly an unusual book-promotion strategy from Mark Meadows, to deny everything you wrote.
SCARBOROUGH: Everything I wrote is wrong!
