GOP Congressman on DC’s Vaccine Passport: ‘We Will Not Order Takeout from Restaurants That Require Papers for Dine In’

(CNSNews.com) – Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) pushed back on vaccine requirements set to go into effect in the nation’s capital on Saturday.

“The DC vaccine mandate kicks in this weekend. My office will not comply. We will not show papers. We will not order takeout from restaurants that require papers for dine in. We will get our food from Virginia or we will bring it to work. Shame has befallen our nation’s capital,” he tweeted.

According to D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser’s office, on Jan. 15 “, the District of Columbia will adopt a city wide vaccination entry requirement that requires COVID-19 vaccination to enter indoor facilities within the city.”

People 12 and up must show proof of having received at least one dose of a COVID vaccination starting on Saturday in order to enter indoor facilities in Washington, D.C.

Kids under 12 must show that they are fully vaccinated on Feb. 15 to do the same.

The proof of vaccination requirement applies to: restaurants, nightclubs, taverns, coffee shops, food halls, concerts, live entertainment and sporting venues, movie theatres, bowling alleys, gyms, fitness studios, any facilities used for group fitness classes, and conferences.

Not only do they have to show proof of vaccination, but those 18 and older must show a photo ID.
