Married … With Children set to return as animated series with original cast

Married … With Children is reportedly set to make its return with an animated series now in development with the original cast in tow.

Ed O’Neill, Katey Sagal, Christina Applegate, and David Faustino will all reprise their roles in the Bundy family, according to a report.

The show is not yet slated for a network or streaming service.

Sony Pictures Television is backing the show, which is being written by Alex Carter, a co-executive producer for Family Guy who will also take on the roles of executive producer and showrunner.

Married … With Children captured audiences during its 11-season run, which spanned from 1987 to 1997. The show, which aired on Fox, often sparked controversy due to its raunchy jokes and storylines.

While on the air, the show never broke any ratings records, but it has remained a fan favorite since transitioning to home media and syndication.
