
7 Dead, 1 Injured After Shootings in Northern California Community, Suspect in Custody
Seven people were killed and one person was seriously injured following two shootings on Monday in separate locations at a coastal community in Northern California, according to police.
San Mateo County Board of Supervisors President Dave Pine said four people were killed at a mushroom farm, and three others were killed at a trucking business.
State Sen. Josh Becker, who represents the area, said the separate shootings took place on the outskirts of Half Moon Bay, which is a city located about 30 miles (49 km) south of San Francisco.
A man, who is a suspect in the killings, is in custody, the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office wrote on Twitter just before 5 p.m. local time, adding that there is no ongoing threat to the community….
