Man On Parole In Nashville Murder Case Arrested After Months-Long Investigation

NASHVILLE – A months-long investigation into the suspected distribution of narcotics, including fentanyl, by Tennessee parolee Ronterius Roberson culminated in Friday’s arrest of Roberson, along with the seizure of guns, drugs, cash, and cars.

Roberson, 41, who is on parole for facilitation of first-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder convictions in Nashville, was wanted Friday on an outstanding warrant for his alleged sale of fentanyl to a police operative. As detectives moved in to arrest him Friday afternoon outside his Antioch workplace, Roberson unsuccessfully attempted to flee. He was found to be carrying 10 hydrocodone pills, 1.5 grams of powder that field tested positive for fentanyl, and $4,475 cash. A search of his 2020 Honda Accord revealed a half pound of marijuana, 27 grams of powder that field tested positive for fentanyl, two loaded pistols, digital scales, and drug paraphernalia.

During the execution of a search warrant at Roberson’s home on Dabbs Avenue, three additional loaded guns were found in his bedroom. They were seized, along with the Honda Accord, a 2019 Nissan Altima, eight firearm magazines and hundreds of rounds of ammunition. Two of the five guns seized in this case were stolen.

The investigation was conducted by the Specialized Investigations Division Neighborhood Safety Unit, the TBI Middle Tennessee Drug Related Death Task Force, and TITANS detectives.

Roberson’s facilitation of first-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder convictions (25-year & 12-year concurrent sentences) stem from 2009 gunfire at a South Nashville apartment complex in which one Madison County man was killed and another wounded. The investigation showed the victims came to Nashville to take part in a drug transaction. Roberson was also from Madison County.

Roberson is now jailed on multiple felony drug and gun charges.
