A second Marvel project is being delayed due to the Writers Guild of America strike.

Marvel, which is owned by Disney, was slated to begin production on its Thunderbolts film but has since paused, per the report. This comes after the company also opted to pause its Blade film.

With 11,500 writers on strike since May 2 after failing to negotiate higher wages, the WGA strike has shuttered the production of many films and television programs. This work stoppage is the first in 15 years.

The first post-strike negotiations between the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers and the Directors Guild of America began earlier this month. In the meantime, shows have aired repeat episodes.

Lee Sung Jin, creator of the Netflix hit Beef, was among the writers on Thunderbolts, which is expected to star Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, David Harbour, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus, among others. Jake Schreier will direct the project, which is anticipated to start at the end of the strike.

Disney did not respond to the Washington Examiner’s request for comment.
