CNN Town Hall Scripted to Push Gun Control Narrative
Was the Parkland Town Hall Hosted By CNN Scripted?
Following the tragedy in Parkland, Florida in which a deranged former student returned to the high school from which he was expelled from to take the lives of 17 innocent students, CNN thought it would be a good idea to host a town hall to try and give students the stage to tell their story and propose solutions to the issue we face when it comes to school shootings.
One problem, we are now seeing reports that CNN allegedly scripted at least portions of the event. Of course CNN denies having done this, but it is clear to see they are trying to drive home a specific narrative and they did not want anyone asking questions that may oppose their message.
According to The Hill,
CNN aired the live town hall, “Stand Up: The Students of Stoneman Douglas Demand Action,” from the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Fla., on Wednesday night. The discussion included Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), Sen. Bill Nelson (D-Fla.), Rep. Ted Deutch (D-Fla.) and NRA spokeswoman Dana Loesch.
“There is absolutely no truth to this,” Richard Hudock, CNN’s senior manager of public relations, said in a statement provided to The Hill. “CNN did not provide or script questions for anyone in last night’s town hall, nor have we ever.”
“After seeing an interview with Colton Haab, we invited him to participate in our town hall along with other students and administrators from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School,” Hudock said. “Colton’s father withdrew his name from participation before the forum began, which we regretted but respected.”
Haab is a member of the junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps and shielded other Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School students while the shooter went on his rampage, according to a CNN report after the shooting last week.
Whether you want to believe this or not, it is imperative that one at least consider the fact that the gun grabbers on the left have been and still are out to turn the United States into Europe or Australia when it comes to fire arm possession. It is clear they have no regard for the victims of this horrible tragedy, since the Parkland school shooting occurred we have been innundated with lectures by both the media and by a select few students from the school on how we need to ban this weapon or ban that weapon. There has been no talk of how to preserve the law abiding gun owners right to own a fire arm while finding a concrete solution to locking down the schools and keeping our children safe.
